The Barn
The Barn by Avi was not very good and it has 106 pages. It was boring and sad. It is about a boy whose father gets ill. He goes home to help with chores and take care of his father. His father was talking about building a barn before he got so ill. Therefore, his kids decide to build him a barn.
Nancy Drew
Nancy Drew: The Secret of the Old Clock by Carolyn Keene was a wonderful book and it has 180 pages. Nancy makes some new friends. She learns that they were supposed to inherit money from Mr. Crowly. Unfortunately, Mr. Crowly's will left no money to some that were told they would receive it. Some items get stolen too. This is the start of her adventure.........
The River
The River by Gary Paulsen is another sequel to Hatchet and it has 132 pages. It is a thrilling book. It's about how a survival school for the military sends some men to ask Brian if he will show them how he made it. He goes with Derek, who takes notes of everything he does and thinks. When Derek gets hit by lightning and goes into a coma, Brian has to build a raft to get Derek to people who can help him.

Brian's Winter
Brian's Winter by Gary Paulsen is 133 pages. This book is awesome, adventurous, and has problem solving It is a sequel to Hatchet and about what would have happened if Brian hadn't been rescued that summer. He would have had to be in the Canadian Wilderness through winter. He would go through snowstorms and rain. Since some animals change the color of their fur it would be harder to spot them. This book was awesome and adventurous.

Hatchet
I just finished a really good book called Hatchet by Gary Paulsen which had 195 pages. This is a story of survival. Brian is stranded in the woods after a plane crash. All he has to survive is a hatchet. Brian encounters a lot of different animals during his adventure. This book kept me engaged because I liked the adventures and obstacles that Brian had to overcome.
