Brian's Winter

Brian's Winter by Gary Paulsen is 133 pages. This book is awesome, adventurous, and has problem solving It is a sequel to Hatchet and about what would have happened if Brian hadn't been rescued that summer. He would have had to be in the Canadian Wilderness through winter. He would go through snowstorms and rain. Since some animals  change the color of their fur it would be harder to spot them. This book was awesome and adventurous.

Hatchet

I just finished a really good book called Hatchet by Gary Paulsen which had 195 pages.  This is a story of survival.  Brian is stranded in the woods after a plane crash.  All he has to survive is a hatchet.   Brian encounters a lot of different animals during his adventure.   This book kept me engaged because I liked the adventures and obstacles that Brian had to overcome.

My latest review

I am now on page 39. The book is getting easier to understand.

The book takes place during the Middle Ages. Catherine is 13 years old. Her father wants her to marry well, but Catherine has other ideas. So far, two suitors have come to meet her. She did not like either of them.

My favorite part so far is when Catherine's uncle is visiting. For fun, Catherine images what bird everyone in her family would be. For example, her mother would be a swan. Her uncle would be an eagle. She thinks of herself as a goose because it is her favorite bird. I like this part because of her creativity.
